One of the possible career paths can be entrepreneurship. However, it can feel intimidating to start from a scratch and navigate in the Finnish networks and market.
We will dive into the topic with two female entrepreneurs with an international background: Chrisna Ravyse & Nichole Starkman. They will share their career stories and how they and their companies have found their place in the Finnish market.

- Chrisna Ravyse is a seasoned academic, researcher and speaker and a nationally recognized wellness expert. Chrisna has a PhD in Human Movement Science and has multiple research publications in the field of nutrition and physical activity as well as health education. She is the founder of the African Sport Leadership Program and the CEO of EDvantage, an educational solutions organization. She is still actively involved in teaching and is constantly researching behaviour change to support her work in delivering revolutionary strategies to empower her clients. Instagram | Linkedin
- Nichole Starkman: My name is Nichole and I’m the face behind the cakes. I am originally from Duluth, Minnesota, USA, and have been living in Finland with my Finnish partner, Antti, since 2015. I have always loved baking for friends and family and saw an opportunity to bring some fun and different American-style treats to customers in Finland.
