When Ludmilla Seppälä moved from St. Petersburg to Turku, Finland, it was for a job with local software company CADMATIC. She planned to try it out for a year or two. Then she met her husband and twelve years later, she is still working with CADMATIC.
CADMATIC makes computer-aided design software for ships, plants and offshore platforms. Their software is used by shipyards and engineering companies throughout the world. In her position as Product Owner, she manages product documentation and travels to meet clients to make sure they know the benefits or the product and can quickly start using the software.
The marine industry in Finland is an international and versatile field for top talents. Finland’s maritime cluster has annual revenue of EUR 13 billion and employs more than 50,000 people all over the country.
