In Southwest Finland, the strong growth outlook for the maritime, pharmaceutical and manufacturing industries radiates the economic boom to several lines of business, such as construction. That in turn creates jobs in the services sector.

There is now a serious need for professionals of different fields in Southwest Finland, and jobs are available also for those changing their profession.

The maritime industry in particular needs a large number of experts. At present, the maritime industry in Southwest Finland employs around 9,000 people, but the shipyard estimates that by 2023 they will need as many as 20,000 employees.
