Industrial Control System IT Specialist


  • You are part of the Bayer Nordic Product Supply IT organization which is responsible for the network connectivity, data gathering and information security for machines and devices used in the manufacturing environment. Our team is actively driving and developing the processes in the production and laboratories towards a digitally connected environment where the development of IT and automation interfaces is emphasized.
  • Your main task is to maintain control components and systems of automated production machines and their integration to other information systems.
  • You participate in diverse procurement and change projects of the production lines being responsible for their requirement specifications covering data gathering, connectivity as well as information security.
  • You collaborate closely with global information management organization, local production departments, vendors and other IT stakeholders.


  • Have excellent collaboration skills, a service oriented mindset and a structured working approach challenging the status quo when relevant.
  • Are able to take full ownership of own working area aiming to actively drive results and solve challenges based on continuous collaboration with different stakeholders also under time pressure.
  • Own fluent collaboration and communication skills in English and preferably also in Finnish.
  • Experienced and skilled in projects related to manufacturing information technology and industrial control systems (SCADA) as well as development and investment projects within this area. You also have an understanding of the traditional IT infrastructure role as part of production critical systems. Previous experience of simulated environments and machine vision systems is an advantage.
  • Possess insight in integration processes related to different production systems within the manufacturing industry having an understanding of the critical role of information security within this environment. Additionally you are eager to learn new skills and gain experience within different technologies.
  • Possibly have experience also of the food or electronical industry. Other previous experience of clean room environments or pharmaceutical industry authority requirements is also an advantage.
